Culture Trip to Bali 2019

On 17 March 2019 SMAN 3 Bandung class of 2020 had a culture tour to Bali. A culture tour is a field trip that gives the students more knowledge about Indonesian Culture in hope that the students will cherish it. My class (XI MIPA 1) had the first flight of the day which is at 10 AM. We boarded our plane and took off. We arrived in Bali at about 1 PM and got to our bus. The class of 2020 was separated into 3 sessions, the first one was my class (XI MIPA 1), XI MIPA 2, and another class. The second session consisted of another 3 classes and the last session was also 3 classes. I am glad to be in the first session because that meant that we got the chance to go to Tanah Lot first. After seeing Tanah Lot, we got on our way to Jimbaran and ate seafood. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good and it started to rain, so most of our clothes were soaked. For the second day of culture trip, we went to Pandawa Beach which was beautiful. After spending a few hours at Pandawa beach, we head to T

Natural Phenomenon

Supermoon A supermoon occurs when the moon’s orbit is closest (perigee) to Earth at the same time it is full. Actually, “supermoon” isn’t new. The term first appeared in a 1979 article for  Dell Horoscope magazine. The author, American astrologer Richard Nolle, described it as “a New or Full Moon which occurs with the Moon at or near (within 90 percent of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit.” Nolle gave no reason for his “within 90 percent of” delimiter. Like most astrological numbers, the range gives the predictor a huge amount of wiggle room. It’s easy to understand why a term like supermoon would catch on. It describes in general terms how one particular Full Moon each year rates, and — at least for the general public — it sure beats the astronomical term: perigee-syzygy Moon. Perigee means “closest to Earth,” and syzygy is a term astronomers use for a lineup of three celestial bodies, in this case, the Moon, Earth, and the Sun, in that order. Note that a cla

Edu -Passion SMAN 3 Bandung

Edu-Passion 2019 Edu-Passion is an annual event that provides university options and knowledge about each university. This event is held by SMAN 3 Bandung and also located at SMAN 3 Bandung. This event is held so that high school students can get a better picture about college and the university that they want to go to. I am a Junior, so I still have 1 year to decide my college but I did attend this year Edu-Passion in hope that I can get an idea about where I want to go for college and what major I want to be in. At this year Edu-Passion, I stopped by a few of the university stands and attend a few of presentations that some of the university do. I stopped by ITBs stand, UIs stand, and a few more. I also attended UIs presentation about UIs law major. It was very interesting and gave me a better picture about college.

Village Service (Bakti Desa)

Unfortunately, I didn't join the village service this year because of a delayed flight. I have heard stories form my friends about Cibereum Village and the villagers problem. What intrigues me the most was the fact that most of the villagers there worked all day as a field worker and only get Rp. 20.000 a day for women and Rp. 25.000 for men. So, what I hope the most for that village is for the government to evenly distribute the education program or maybe we can start to send volunteers that can teach the children there and make their future brighter.

Recommendation Letter

Recommendation Letter for A Friend K eisha Amanna J. SMAN 3 Bandung Dear  Mr. Dean, I am writing to recommend  Zahra Zhafira  to become a medical student at Universitas Indonesia . I have known  Zahra  for 2 years as a friend. From my experience,  Zahra  is  honest, kind, diligent, passionate about her work, and patient . One example of  her  character is when  she  was assigned a group project and the rest of her group were lazy about the assignment, she quickly volunteer to do the work and completed it. This example shows how she is diligent and another example is when she was given a technical design project that requires her to be detailed, so she completed it with an outstanding and detailed outcome.  Based on our experience together, I can confidently recommend  Zahra  to become a medical student at Universitas Indonesia . Sincerely, Keisha Amanna J.
